Ross Larsson from Mara Global Foods was introduced to the Owner Manager Program through his bank manager at NAB. He completed the Program in late 2018 and early 2019. Established in 2009, Mara Global Foods (MGF) is a family owned food ingredient manufacturing business operating across two sites. One at Shannon Brook and one at Mallanganee in the Northern Rivers of NSW.
MGF’s facilities includes over 30,000 tonnes of segregated storage. It also has state of the art grading, milling and enzyme and starch modification process lines. The company supplies Allergen and Gluten free ingredients. They supply the baking, beverage, cereal, meat, snack food, tofu and soy based, wholegrain, pet and stock feed industries. It has 7 different processing lines and works closely with over 170 approved supplier farming operations from Victoria to Burdekin.
Coming into the program Ross was dealing with rapid growth, seasonal variance, and the changing landscape of food industry. Ross shares some reflections about his experience on the Australian Owner Manager Program. Ross also recently appeared on Kochie’s “Lessons from Legends”
