Adrian Connors (OMP9) has secured one of the best cuts of wagyu beef in Australia for patrons of his Mackay restaurant BURP.eat.drink.
The beef was sourced from David Blackmore whose beef usually goes to exclusive Sydney butcher Victor Churchill (Anthony Bourdain called it the “best food shop in the world”) or to the premium Rockpool Group owned by celebrity chef Neil Perry.
The rare beef has a marbling score of 9++ (on a scale of 1 to 9) and rates as some of the highest quality wagyu outside Japan. At $130 per serving and with only 5 steaks left, Mackay residents will need to hurry to BURP.eat.drink to sample the delicacy before it sells out.
