The theme of OMX2025 was Driving Revenue Growth. It’s clear that many businesses are navigating cost pressures that are squeezing profitability and the bottom line.
The answer isn’t to keep cutting costs — it’s to think differently about how to grow. What strategies can be implemented to increase revenue and unlock new market potential?
The program began with a broad session exploring revenue growth through the lens of markets, segmentation, ideal customers, and key metrics.
Greg Gladman from Sales and Leadership Performance then led a deep dive into each business’ sales growth potential, developing tailored sales plans and refining the sales process.
We also explored the role of the broader team in business development. In many private businesses, everyone has a hand in selling – even if the owner is the key driver.
Marketing and sales alignment was another critical focus. Nicola Pickup from customerIT led a practical session on how to better leverage your marketing budget to support and reinforce your sales strategy – combining both tactical execution and strategic direction.
On Friday, we shifted focus to personal well-being, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Starting at 6:30am with morning routines and meditation, the day continued with Dr Sven Hanson exploring how to stay grounded and lead with emotional clarity.
The final session brought everything together with an action plan to take back into the business.
As always, OMX provided more than just frameworks and tools. It was a chance for business owners to step out of the day-to-day, create space for fresh ideas, and reconnect with purpose. One participant described it as “an escape from the revolving door that is my office” – a space where bottled-up ideas finally found room to flow.
Another shared: “OMX is an inspiring space to connect and learn.” We couldn’t agree more. It’s an opportunity to reignite energy, sharpen your focus, and return to your business a more grounded leader.
Overall, it was a fantastic program with an amazing group of private business owners. We look forward to seeing the impact as new ideas turn into real growth.
