In 2018, Australia’s largest business bank, NAB, reviewed a broad range of options to support their clients. They identified the Owner Manager Program as a key option to support and assist their clients of mid-sized businesses ($3m-$100m). They undertook a pilot with part scholarships for a dozen customers.
In 2019, the NAB pilot program concluded with exceptional feedback and NAB joined as the exclusive Principal and Financial Partner of Australian Owner Manager. As part of the arrangement, NAB provides part-scholarships to NAB business clients to undertake the Owner Manager Program.
Program founder, Rob Douglas, was the Director of Executive Education at The University of Queensland Business School where he developed the Australian Owner Manager Program (OMP) in conjunction with the Icehouse. The program was commercialised in 2017 with UQ continuing as a foundation partner.
