Woollam Delivers: CopperString Experience Centre

Woollam Constructions, (Craig Percival OMP’01), recently unveiled Townsville’s CopperString 2032 Experience Centre, a cornerstone of the $5 billion CopperString Project in North Queensland. Woollam’s team demonstrated their expertise and commitment by delivering this state-of-the-art facility, which will play a crucial role in educating visitors about Queensland’s energy transition.

With a build completed in under five months, Woollam took charge of the entire construction, including self-delivered electrical works and additional support from their exceptional plumbers. Their ability to manage the project from start to finish exemplifies Woollam’s dedication to quality and efficiency.

Inside the centre, the first-class fitout by Xzibit Pty Ltd brings the space to life with eight interactive zones featuring 3D scale models, mineral core samples, and even an immersive helicopter flight simulation. It’s an engaging environment for all ages, designed to educate and inspire visitors about the ‘CopperString Effect’ and their role in shaping Queensland’s energy future.
