Ross Munro honoured at 2024 Australian Cotton Awards

Ross Munro OMP Alumni wins Cotton Industry Award

Congratulations to Ross Munro (OMP’13) who has been named the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Incitec Pivot Fertilisers Service to the Cotton Industry Award at the Australian Cotton Awards.

A key figure in the industry since the 1970s, Munro has made lasting contributions, particularly in machinery efficiency and cotton transportation.

Attending the event with his wife, Toni, Munro was unaware of his nomination. “I had no idea until they put my name on the screen,” he laughed. “I’m unbelievably honoured to be recognised.”

Munro’s influence extends through his role as owner manager of BMC Partnership in Moree. Known for his innovative ideas, he’s a go-to resource for growers and manufacturers seeking advice on everything from machinery setups to harvesting efficiency.

Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay praised Munro’s reputation for always being available to help others in the industry. “Ross is a great sounding board, and his intimate knowledge of the industry is invaluable,” Kay said.

Ross completed the Owner Manager Program in 2020.
