OrangeSky names new van after Carolyn Kirk (OMP8)

Orange Sky new van

Congratulations to Carolyn Kirk (OMP8), who has had an Orange Sky Laundry van named in her honour.

Carolyn is the Managing Director of Richard Jay, Australia’s most awarded laundry equipment supplier. In 2014 Richard Jay partnered with Orange Sky Laundry, to create a free mobile laundry service for homeless people.

Orange Sky and the partnership have gone from strength to strength and they have now grown to 20 mobile laundry vans which service more than 100 locations with over 1000 dedicated volunteers across Australia. They have also begun operating mobile shower vans in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The new van named after Carolyn launched in Townsville last week has 2 washers, 2 dryers, a hot shower and has 6 orange chairs where people can sit and have a conversation while their clothes are being washed.
